Introduction
Welcome to Verdant Deck — a card-matching puzzle game played on a green felt table, developed by Verdant Deck Studio. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use our app, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.
By downloading or using Verdant Deck, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
No account required. You play completely anonymously. We never ask for your name, email address, or any personal identifier to play the game.
Information We Collect
Stored locally on your device only (never sent to our servers):
- Game progress — games played, games won, current streak, and total cards matched
- High scores — your best score for each game mode (Classic, Rapid, Easy)
- App preferences — selected game mode and sound settings
All game data is stored in iOS AppStorage / UserDefaults on your device only. We have no access to it and it is never transmitted to our servers.
Third-party SDKs integrated in the app may collect anonymized, non-personal data as described in Section 03.
Third-Party Services
Verdant Deck integrates the following third-party SDKs to understand general usage patterns and support app distribution. Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

These SDKs may collect device identifiers and usage events for advertising measurement and analytics purposes. You may limit this collection through your device's iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Advertising & Tracking (ATT)
Verdant Deck may present a system prompt asking for permission to track your activity across other apps and websites, as required by Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You are free to allow or deny this request at any time.
- If you allow tracking, Facebook SDK may use your IDFA to measure installs and show relevant ads on other platforms.
- If you deny tracking, no cross-app tracking occurs. The game continues to work fully with no features removed.
You can change your tracking preference at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Verdant Deck.
Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be transparent about what we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your location or GPS data
- Your camera, microphone, or photos
- Your contacts or social graph
- Any payment or financial information
- Health or biometric data
Children's Privacy
Verdant Deck is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app itself collects no personal data; however, integrated third-party SDKs (Firebase, Facebook) may collect anonymized, device-level data.
Parents and guardians can manage app permissions at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information about a child, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete it.
Data Security
All game data stored locally on your device is protected by iOS's built-in security — including hardware encryption, access controls (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID), and app sandboxing.
Third-party SDKs we use (Firebase, Facebook) transmit data over secure, encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS).
Deleting the app permanently removes all locally stored game progress and statistics from your device. This action cannot be undone.
Your Rights & Choices
- Delete all game data — Uninstall the app to remove all local data instantly
- Opt out of tracking — iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Verdant Deck
- Opt out of analytics — iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements
- Manage app permissions — iOS Settings → Verdant Deck
Residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), California (CCPA), or other jurisdictions with applicable data protection laws may have additional rights, including the right to access, correct, or delete data held about them. Please contact us using the details in Section 10.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or legal requirements change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Updated" date at the top. Continued use of Verdant Deck after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
